My husband and I have been here at Misawa now for over 5 months. We arrived December 8, 2008. It's hard to describe where we were before; I was in Tucson, AZ (Davis-Monthan AFB) while my husband was in Korea for the year prior to moving here. Before that, we were both in Tucson- me, for 5 years- my husband, for 2 years. We met in Tucson in 2006 and were married in October 2007.
So far, our experience here at Misawa has been both good and not-so-good, but for the most part we are enjoying it. We are very happy we chose to live off-base, and I am very happy that I just got a job a few weeks ago- it was slim pickens at first! We are getting used to the weather. Sort of.
